What is Cyber Essentials
The Cyber Essentials (CE) system is a Government-backed framework that helps businesses protect themselves against cyber-attacks. Developed and operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Cyber Essentials is considered the best first step to a more secure network, ensuring protection from 80% of cyber security breaches.
URM Certifies Mondas to Cyber Essentials Plus
Mondas recently achieved certification to Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher level qualification forming part of the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials Scheme. To achieve certification to Cyber Essentials Plus, a third-party hands-on technical verification was conducted to ensure we fully met the requirements of five basic control areas (access control, secure configuration, software updates, malware protection, and firewalls and routers).
This technical assessment was conducted by the certification body URM Consulting Services, and involved a thorough vulnerability scan. URM’s assessor commented, “Mondas exhibits a positive stance on security measures, and demonstrates receptiveness to receiving guidance and advice”.
This Cyber Essentials certification showcases Mondas’ dedication to protecting our business operations, and ensuring cyber security. This provides our customers and partners with confidence in our solutions.
After achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification, we are now listed on a directory of certified organisations operated by IASME, the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC’) Cyber Essentials Partner responsible for delivering the project.
